Hello, I’m Leigh – your Regional Partner for Wokingham and Bracknell. Having previously worked in the voluntary sector for over 25 years for charities such as St John Ambulance and the Samaritans, I have spent much of my working life helping others. I was formerly Chief Executive of Epilepsy Research UK, the only charity exclusively dedicated to driving and enabling life-changing and life-saving research into epilepsy.
Recognising the need for better in-home alternatives to care homes in my community, I launched Promedica24 Wokingham and Bracknell in 2017. I’m passionate about ensuring people have the choice and ability to remain in the comfort of their own homes should they require care and support in their lives. I look forward to working with you and ensuring you get the support you need to live your life the way you want to.
I spend most of my free time taxiing my two teenage sons to rugby and taekwondo – the rules of which both completely escape me. I also volunteer at various charities and groups in my community, including as a Trustee for WADE and Outside in World, at an over 65s lunch club in Wokingham, and at both the Wokingham and Bracknell Dementia Action Alliances.
